(i) Present Theoretical Plasma Physics(ii) Past Particle PhysicsResearch Publications 272 208 Research papers published 64 Conference Proceedings/ Presentations Supervised 56 MPhil dissertations & 26 PhD thesesMajor Research ContributionTheoretical Plasma Physics He investigated a wide variety of important issues in both linear and non-linear wave propagation His papers on Nonlinear Generation of Electromagnetic Waves in a magneto-plasma ETG Mode Non-local thermal conduction for steep temperature gradients etc are excellent contributions and have been cited in the literature His recent work on the role of the temperature anisotropy in various modes and instabilities for a magnetized Maxwellian Plasma is an important workTheoretical Particle Physics he studied problems based on symmetry Groups like SU(3) SU(6) & SU(n) In particular his calculation of CG Coefficients in SU(6) is one of the first papers on the subject and is well cited Similarly in one of his works on group theory he has demonstrated the duality character of a Young tableau describing a representation of a group as well as the dimensionality formula This work is also well cited in the literature
