Isolation, synthesis, stereoselective synthesis, enzymic synthesis and biosynthetic studies of pharmacologically active compounds including r-lactones, anti-tumour Catharanthus alkaloids and their analogues, cholestenopyrimidines, substituted benzodiazepines, benzimidazoles, benzimidazolones and their optically active derivatives. Study of the structure and stereochemistry of the isolated and synthesized compounds. Chemical investigation of the bioactive extracts of the plants of Murree and Islamabad region.
