Combined R&D, teaching, and production of lasers/optronics systems. Laser Based Position Monitoring System for the massive CMS detector, (LHC, CERN 199-2001). Represented Pakistan at the Summit of 100 scientists from Eurasia, 2010, in large Multinational Science Programs such as CERN). Radiation Damage Studies of Optical Glasses, Cements, and Coatings; Atomic & Molecular Spectroscopy/Laser Isotope Separation; Lasers and Optronics for Defence Laser Produced Plasmas; Ultrafast High Voltage Switching. Laser systems production exceeded Rs 60 billion in value, with exports to Malaysia, Bangladesh, Germany and Switzerland. Recent Publications: The 10 Year S&T Plan for OIC countries; RE Profile of the OIC Countries. Current focus: The economics and politics of the energy transition, (regular lectures at National Management School, Lahore since 2012), Making people employable – the techno-economic revolution.
