Award of PAS Gold Medals and Prizes-2026

Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) invites nominations for the following Gold Medals and Prizes to be awarded to Pakistani Scientists in 2026 who have made outstanding contributions to Scientific Research:

1. PAS Gold Medals in the disciplines of:

• • Agricultural Sciences, including Veterinary Sciences and Forestry;
  • Chemical and Environmental Sciences;
  • Engineering Sciences, including Earth Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Science,
  • Emerging Technologies, including Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Bioinformatics; AI, Data Science, etc.
  • Health Sciences including Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Nutrition and Allied Health Sciences
  • Life Sciences, including Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology.
  • Physical Sciences including Physics, Mathematics, Statistics.

2. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman Gold Medal in Chemistry for Scientists under 40;
3. Dr. M. Raziuddin Siddiqi Prize in Mathematics for Scientists under 40;
4. Dr. Shah Jahan Prize in in Engineering & Technology for Scientists under 40;
5. PAS-COMSTECH Prize in Computer Science (IT);
6. Dr. M. N. Azam Prize in Computer Science (Software);
7. Prof. Zabta K. Shinwari Gold Medal in Biotechnology for Scientists under 50;
8. Abdus Salam Prize in Basic Sciences for Scientists under 40 in Physics;
9. Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Prize in Applied Science-Technology for Scientists under 40 in Medical Sciences;
10. Prof. Khalid Mahmood Khan Gold Medal for Innovations in Agriculture;
11. Prof. Anwar Gilani Gold Medal in Pharmacology;

Nomination Procedure

Only one nomination can be made in each subject by Fellows of the Academy, Vice Chancellors/Rectors of Universities and Heads of Organizations engaged in Scientific Education and Research.

*A statement shall be provided by the nominator that the nominee is not involved in any plagiarism/misconduct case.
